Comprehensive Mower Services to Keep Your Equipment Running Strong

At Mobile Mower, we know that a well-maintained mower is key to a healthy, attractive lawn. Our expert team offers convenient, mobile services to keep your mower in top shape — all without the hassle of hauling it to a shop. Check out our detailed list of services designed to extend the life of your mower and ensure peak performance all season long.

Our ride-on mower service includes the service call charge to the home, which is a minimum $75, depending on your location. The Mobile Mower box truck is equipped with a liftgate and we use the liftgate as our work surface, allowing us to tilt and raise the machine as needed. The liftgate also helps contain dirt and grass, keeping your driveway clean.

Before we start the engine, we check the oil level and add oil as necessary. When the oil level is below the add mark this could be an oil leakage, head gasket, or worn-out engine condition. Adding oil to the engine also helps loosen sludge that has built up in the engine.

After checking the oil level, we test drive your machine, during which time we check for proper operation, how it drives, how it stops, do the safety switches work, does the mower engage smoothly, do the blades stop in 5 seconds, and are there any unusual noises, or functions.

We then drive your machine onto our liftgate, as the engine is warming up. First, we blow out the debris and dirt from the tractor, making mental notes of the condition of the tires, belts and frame mounts. For example missing paint could be an indication of something cracked. The next step is with the engine off, we clean the engine cooling fins and transmission(s) of dirt and grass.

To change the oil, we use a pump/vacuum system combined with tilting the machine. This system drains out more oil than draining from a conventional drain plug and is far cleaner as everything is contained. We then replace the engine parts consisting of the air filter, fuel filter, oil filter (if equipped), spark plug(s), and engine oil, up to $95 in value. In the rare cases when the parts exceed $95, the difference is billed.

Whenever possible we use the original engine parts, and NGK sparkplugs as they are the most reliable. At this point in the service, we raise the machine to visually check the belts, and to feel for roughness or excessive play in pulleys, and mower spindles. We look for missing parts, guides out of place, engine & transmission mounting bolts being loose, and blade tip to tip.

Blade tip to tip must be within 1/4″ for the blades to cut evenly. Blades are then removed and the deck scraped of major accumulations of grass. The blades are sharpened unless they are bent or have worn thin on their lifts. Worn blade lifts can break and become flying shrapnel causing harm or injury to bystanders and animals.

We then grease the machine, adjust the tire pressures, level the deck, clean and coat the battery terminals, and check the charging system. The machine is tested once more for functionality, the grass and dirt on the liftgate cleaned up, and the driveway blown off.

With our comprehensive services, you can keep your mower running smoothly and efficiently.
